Handworked stone and shell necklace
I was thinking of tradition and remembering some necklaces I saw in the 1970-80-90’s when we were living Out West, near or on Indian Reservations. So much beautiful work, using handworked stone and shell. This is my memory of that time. Before using the sterling chain to extend, the length is 22”, but 3” extends up to 25”. Shell are yellow mother of pearl, red lip disks, abalone, red coral tiny beads as well as small coral pieces, Apple coral. Stones include, turquoise, picture jasper, jasper turquoise, carnelian, tiger eye, and more.
